This extra-large ironing board gives you all the space you need to iron a shirt in one go, with a shoulder-shaped design that helps you press sleeves and collars to perfection. The 135cm x 45cm surface is wide enough for bigger items, and there's a heat-resistant zone where you can park your iron safely while you're working. Great ironing board
I bought this premium ironing board three weeks ago and it’s brilliant! It’s great for ironing bedding and larger items because the board is that much wider than a standard size so you iron more which cuts the time in half. It’s strong, sturdy and non slip which is a great bonus! The cover is taut and there’s a heat resistant section for your iron, should you need to lay it down. It’s everything I needed in an ironing board!

Great features
Surprised at the height when folded in spite of knowing dimensions before buying! But easy to adjust height for ironing. Board itself is wide and thus great for ironing sheets, towels, etc., and easier to fold and iron when necessary. Not sure about the heat-resistant area for posing the iron flat, so I leave it in the upright position. Board fabric pleasing to the eye and doesn't slip when ironing nor when folded. The iron does seem to glide across whatever I'm ironing which is a good sign. In spite of the height, it is lighter that my older and shorter board, and thanks to wide support is exceedingly stable on floor and carpet.

Love it! A solidly built, super stable ironing board - I fully expect it to last years. I have told my kids that I fully expect it be bequeathed in my will! I love the design of the heat resistant area at the end of the board as I never used designated iron stands on my previous ironing boards.

How to reach the lowest setting
Stand the board vertically.
Release the lock. On the underside of the ironing board, there is a lever (often referred to as 'B' in the manual). You will need to press this lever to disengage the locking mechanism that holds the height in place.
While pressing the lever, push the legs of the ironing board outwards and downwards.
Press the lever and push down fully. As you continue to push the legs down, the board will descend to its various height settings. To get to the lowest setting of 61 cm.
Release the lever to lock the board in the new, lower position

You can iron on the heat resistant part of the Brabantia 135 x 45cm Ironing Board Titan Oval. It is there if you just wish to rest the iron while you are moving a garment. As long as you have the iron on the correct setting this should not affect delicate clothes.

Hi just bought this ironing board from argos, but it didnt come with the red ball child lock.

“ The red ball is the child lock – you attach it to the adjustment handle once the ironing board is at the correct height, and it prevents a child from playing with the handle and the ironing board collapsing. ”

The mesh should not rust if kept and stored indoors. The 10 year manufactures guarantee covers any manufactures fault, this does not cover misuse or accidental damage.
