Struggled to open the rings. When I finally managed that and got the lampshade around the bulb, it was so difficult to close the velcro shut without ripping the lampshade itself, and I'm good at origami. When it was up, there was a big product sticker on the bottom, which ripped the lampshade further when I tried to remove it. Then when I turned the light on, the seams either side were really noticeable. I decided to return it, as it wasn't really functional. But when I was trying to take it off the light fitting, it ripped further and I thought it unlikely I'd be given a refund and so I put it in the recycling bin.

Cute and fitted in seconds, casts a warm light but not so ridiculously yellow that you can't find things. Don't know why it says it's for kids though, adults like colour too

Bought this for our living room, it's so sturdy. Great quality, a beautiful colour. I like the warm orange glow it adds. Also will be easy to remove and store. It is velcro and two metal rings, so easy to fold back down.

Can this be used on an up light

How to open iron ring?
Sorry for the stupid question, but I cant get the ring open. Do I just need to use a really small pair of pliars?

Ive just spent about half an hour trying to get the tiniest pin out of the ring and all of a sudden the other side snaps open. The opposite side of the ring opens with a small amount of pressure by hand. No need for any tools to open the ring.
