It's certainly bright! I'd say it does what it say it will do. A simple lamp and no complaints so far. I got it at a discount price and I'm not sure it's worth the original full price.

The lamp can not be left in the on position. Once switched off by the timer, you would need to touch the lamp again for it to come on.

No, when you plug the lamp in it does not come on. You have to touch the button.
For most people this is fine. If you have a smart home plug, this is no use as you cant automate the light.
