The glass bowl is heavy, because the handles on the side of the dish are narrow, makes it d it difficult to lift when hot.
When I slide the vents open on the lid, this then unlocks the lid off the bowl and fills the microwave with steam.. I just can't seem to use it the way it was described on the website..
I bought this a couple of months ago and it has many purposes. As I live alone, it’s large enough for me to microwave pasta in, which can then be added to whatever sauce (eg.butter, oil, Gorgonzola with walnuts, yoghurt & a bit of sweet peregrine alcohol. Yummy! It can also be used for many other purposes, e.g. fruit crumbles etc. There is also a smaller one like this which is extremely useful for quick cooking. Also, their dishwasher safe. What’s not to like? ❤️ Nothing. They’re well worth the money & can be used in the microwave & in the oven minus the lid!
I bought this to use in the microwave, it just fits in the small machine I have. The lid doesn't stay on when it gets hot, even with the vents open but I suppose it stays in place enough to keep most heat and steam in. I think a glass top would be better. The top seals well for storage
