I bought this because I no longer want to use plastic containers for cooking or storing food.
Useful for me to sore remaining half contents of a tin. It importantly does not stain the glass when reheating tomato bases food. Be careful not to heat for too long as I found the lid had partially come away, presumably when the food had got too hot/build up of pressure.
A recognised brand, so expect reliability and longevity. Catering for one can be problematic, so this dish will help in many uses. As I have arthritic, swollen & misshapen finger joints, the opening mechanism is such a relief, it's so easy and doesn't need lots of strength or manipulation. Phew! It is always on my worktop as it's size isn't a hindrance and saves constantly bending to get out/put away. A great price for a really clever little dish
I bought this as I thought it would be better than using a bowl and plate for a lid when microwaving. It is good for small portions but if you microwave for a long time the plastic lid tends to warp a bit.
But on the whole quite good but a bit on the expensive side.
Brilliant for storing half tins of baked beans for example then microwaving when required. Sturdy dish and really useful for smaller amounts and also dishwasher safe. Would recommend.
