low quality overall
Feels quite low quality overall. And how much of a faff it is to assemble makes you appreciate the ease of IKEA! There's a lot of components to put together, made harder by the fact the tiny supplied spanner bent out of shape after tightening two nuts. The tolerances where the pieces join together is poor, due to sloppy drilling of the dowels. On the legs, the recesses notched don't match the shape of the head and foot board foot rails properly so there's uneven gaps. The worst bit was the middle support where the holes were drilled 10mm out at each end and I had to redrill and use washers to cover the old holes. Now the bed is together it feels solid enough and the overall look is good. It's just unfortunate that the appearance is cheapened by a very plastically looking and feeling white-tinted lacquer. It's a nice style of bed but it's a cheap bed and it looks it. I would rather pay £50 more and have something that looks the same but built to a higher standard. It appears Habitat quality has gone downhill a lot since Argos took over.

Stay away unless on sale
The bed arrives in penalty box weighing over 37kg a poorly packaged, meaning that many components will have cosmetic damage because the delivery drivers manhandling it. The overall build quality is poor with holes not lining up. Can’t recommend purchasing this unless it’s heavily discounted on sale and you have a spare day to assemble it.

Bad
Poor quality. Headboard has a lot of bounce and feels weak. Screw holes not always provided and the ones provided are uneven. Could not use all screws and dowels bc of misalignment. Overall would not recommend. Bad quality even for the price.

Don’t buy unless you have your own wrench.
For a bed which costs over £200, some of the budget should have gone to the wrench which it comes with. The wrench expanded and broke after tightening 2 bolts. I did not have an extra one at home so it took about 3 days to finish, as I had to go out and buy one. The wood is good quality, and the overall design is nice. Another factor is the screws were low quality as well. I only used a screwdriver as promoted to, and one of the screws bent.

Quality is... Ok
Nice bed, too expensive for the quality though - like others mine had dents and scrapes along the headboard and on other parts too. I reported them and got some money back which made it fair enough, just think for the price the quality should be higher. Mind the build quality itself is sturdy, you will loose your hands to screwing all 52 screws in by hand, it says don't use a drill, just use one on low power please. For the sake of your hands.

Stylish platform bed
The low profile takes a bit of getting used to but it does look stylish and has that Japandi vibe that I was looking for. Seems very sturdy and was a great price. Fairly straightforward to put together but some of the areas are awkward to access with the allen key.

Happy Purchase
Bought a month ago and very happy with purchase. Easy to put together by myself and sturdy build. Looks great.

Frame was not drilled correctly
Missing some of the drilled holes. Impossible to assemble. Had to return

My new Akio bed frame
I rated this a 4 because the finish makes the frame look cheaper than it could (though it wasn't expensive) I put this together on my own and it took me a couple of hours, however, I am quite good at flat pack so some people might need a hand. This is a large bed frame and even though I knew this, it still took me by surprise, so make sure you have a good ample space to accommodate it. Also, it took me a few days to get used to how low it is after having a standard height bed.

Needs complete assembly
So you need to be prepared for this!! Bed arrived completely in pieces - not one piece pre-assembled. It took 2 people (definitely a 2 person job) around 2.5 - 3 hours to put it together. All the pieces were there. Instructions were fairly clear although all pictorial - no written instructions - so did need working out a bit. Finished bed seems solid - just hadn't anticipated the work involved!
