The doors have pre-drilled holes for the handles. It would be possible to fit a different knob type handle but the other holes for its handle would be visible still. Also, wed advise that it be used with the parts it was designed for and any damage or faults resulting from the fitting and use of a different, 3rd party, handle would not be covered by the item's guarantee.

The tools required (page 7 of instructions) are Phillips screwdriver (small and medium), Flat screwdriver (small and medium), Hammer, Pencil, Set square, Ruler/tape measure, Eye protection (when using hammer or glue), Power drill, Drill bits and Spirit level.

Be sure to check movement of door panels within door as mine are loose fitting make sure you use plenty of PVA glue on the chipboard joints and dowels when assembling.
