Habitat Alden Fabric Swivel Chair and Footstool - Grey

Wrong colour, but even so, a perfect fit.

Easy to assemble, this chair does exactly what it says on the tin great size and shape, not small but not huge, the only drawback I can see is the colour. If this chair is grey, then the sky is green. It's brown, everyone says so and my eyes confirm it. As it is, it matters little, as it still fits nicely into my neutral decor theme. Looks perfect.

Mixed good/disappointing

Very comfortable chair. I was surprised to find that despite expecting to only fix the feet to the chair, the mechanism also had to be attached. I may not have ordered it if I had know this was the case. I haven’t been able to use the recline facility!

Overpriced brown chair

Easy to build Looks ok, however it is not grey. It is brown. Mechanism is flimsy and the seat padding is very hard. Not great quality and I feel overpriced.

I’ve been waiting a long time for this chair!

I’ve been looking for a reasonably priced contemporary version of a swivel chair for ages so I was very pleased to see Habitat bring out two styles of swivel chair recently. The compact footprint of the chair and footstool means it doesn’t dominate the room and it’s extremely comfortable and relaxing for reading/TV/snoozing etc. maybe a little too much snoozing… Just a couple of niggles - the colour is closer to brown than grey so it’s worth asking for a swatch of fabric before committing. Also the handle mechanism for locking/reclining the chair is difficult to operate and glitchy. For the price I am willing to forgive these niggles and I’m considering buying a second chair as it’s so comfortable.
