The Habitat Chiltern Spindle Bed Frame is a solid wood bed built to last, with a kingsize sleeping space for stretching out comfortably. It features a distinctive spindle headboard, hand-turned with a carved top bar that adds character and quality. The oak veneer reveals the natural wood grain, making each frame unique. Full-length legs built into the frame provide strength and stability. This bed suits most bedrooms, whether you prefer a traditional or simpler, cleaner style.
The solid wood frame holds its shape through years of use, while sprung wooden slats with reinforced central posts support your mattress evenly and let air circulate underneath. That keeps your mattress fresh and extends its life. There's 20cm space underneath, so you can hoover or store flat items without any awkward bending. The siderail sits at a practical height, making it easy to get in and out. Self-assembly is required, and you'll want two people for it, all fixings and instructions are included. Easy to build and sturdy. Bought a king and there is a little gap either side of the mattress. Unsure if it is the Otty mattress or the frame

Habitat - Chiltern oak bedframe
Delivery on time and in perfect condition. Pretty simple instructions and easy to follow, especially if you have some pack pack assembly experience. Did it on my own in a little over an hour. Warped wood
Was initially very happy with the bed, felt sturdy, fairly easy to assemble, and great value Unfortunately, after around a month of having the bed, the wooden panel down one side has bent and warped. This means that the slats underneath the bed don't correctly fit into their holders, and frequently pop out on the side of the bed that's warped. Because of this, the mattress can partially drop and isn't even. I contacted customer support to see if I could get sent another side panel. Because I'd had the item over 30 days (around 6 weeks) I was offered to return it for another, however this is a bit of a pain as the king size won't fit out the bedroom now it's assembled, so it means disassembling for habitat to collect. Very disappointed because without the warping I'd be delighted with the bed
