This chunky bunk bed is made with hardwearing solid wood. It comes complete with 2 Habitat Rae mattresses so you can get set up as soon as it all arrives. The thick rails and slats help give it a sturdy finish and, best of all, it can be separated and used as 2 individual beds too. We've made sure the ground clearance is the same on both beds so if you use them separately, they'll look identical. Fitting holes are also plugged when you separate them so you'll still have the same high quality finish.
The bunk bed comes Habitat Kids Rae Comfort Open Coil Single Mattress. Ideal for growing children, the comfy kids mattress has an open coil design to provide firm support, while fibre filling adds a layer of cushioning. Foam free and chemical treatment free, it has a soft anti-allergy cover to help prevent dust mites, skin irritations and allergies.

Well made good looking piece of furniture
We bought the bunk beds for when our grandsons visit, they are delighted! We think it is a solid piece of furniture which has a life beyond small boys.

Great addition for the spare room
We bought the bunk beds as our granddaughter has become too big for her cot. We did not attach the ladder as she is too young to use the top bunk. That will be for as she gets older. They will also be used by myself when my husband snores too much. The mattresses supplied are comfortable and I found them okay for adult use. These buns can be used as separate beds and come apart easily with 2 strong adults. This means that the beds will grow with the grandchildren. A very good buy.

"For this bed in Pine finish, all parts are made of solid pine wood. Only the white version is made of MDF. The finish is Pine effect with a varnish that highlights the colour of the wood."

After checking with our supplier, they have advised for Habitat Heavy Duty Detachable Bunk and 2 Mattresses - Pine.
The height of 68.5 cm is from the side rail to the top of the upper bed. The measurement from the slats where the mattress is placed to the top of the upper bed is 77.8 cm.

The external distance between the legs is 204 cm, but please note that the distance is greater than that at the top of the bed due to the top of the headboard and footboard being a touch wider. It measures 205.9 cm.

The supplier has advised the following for the Heavy Duty Bunk Bed and 2 Kids Mattresses - Pine:
“ Heavy Duty external dimensions are 2058 x 1028 x 1590mm.
The internal dimension of the beds (for mattress) are: 1900 x 900 x 160mm.
And the distance between the lower bed sidebar and the upper bed sidebar are: 685mm. ”
