I have had this 2 weeks. Has already started to break had to contact customer services. Lovely bed asestically but how long it took to put together was absolutely ridiculous.

Once built feels sturdy and look good
The first box arrived damaged, however no problem and a replacement was organised with out trouble. You do need to take care when assembling and follow the instruction, if it says 73mm gap, it means 73mm. But any one who has assembled things before should have no issues. This replaces a old spare double bed so it great to get some room back and still have a comfortable, useable bed for guest when required, and sofa when not.

Bought this for our spare room which we wanted to be a guest bedroom if needed but mainly a smaller loving area upstairs. This day bed has been perfect. Yes I am not going to lie it took two of us 3 hours to assemble but I can promise you its worth it. The time spent building only shows the quality of the product. Would highly recommend

Love this bed once it was finally put together but what a nightmare it was to put together. In order to construct the two bed bases you had to measure where each individual slat needed to go. Tough if you miscalculated as the beds wouldn't slid together.

Difficult to build and a bit creaky when finished
Purchased for a spare room and finished built item good looking. Build is very difficult. There should have been more pre-drilled holes to accommodate mattress supporting slats - the gaps are subject to manual measurement which is subject to error. You need time and patience to build this. finished item creaky when you sit / lay on it.

The Habitat Axel Trundle Day Bed with 2 Mattresses - White is suitable for adults. They are close to a standard UK single bed, and the trundle extends to accommodate two adults side by side. However, there is a 110 kg weight limit per bed.

“ There are M6 bolts screwed from the outside of the main frame to make the bed frame strong. ”

Thanks for your query about the Axel Trundle Day Bed with 2 Mattresses - White.
We do not recommend the use of power drill/drivers for inserting screws, as this could damage the unit. Only use hand screwdrivers.
The assembly instructions list the following tools are needed:
- Phillips screwdriver (medium)
- Flatblade screwdriver (medium)
- Small hammer
- Ruler/tape measure
- Eye protection (when using a hammer or glue)
It also needs two 4mm Allen keys as well but comes with these in the box.

“ No, the extended part does not have wheels. When it is pulled out, it is lifted slightly off the floor and dragged out.
No, the extended part does not have wheels. If it did, it would move when the customer turns in the bed, which is not ideal. ”
