Following their sell-out debut collection, Shrimps for Habitat is back with a second collection. Inspired by 1970's Palm Springs, get excited for handwoven rattan and an uplifting colour palette of sunshine yellow, vanilla cream and sage green with touches of soft pink and sky blue. We’ve taken the collection one step further this time, extending the world of Shrimps beyond textiles and into furniture and lighting pieces. New hand drawn, painted patterns and artworks have been created especially, with some familiar Shrimps characters thrown in for good measure.SHOP SHRIMPS FOR HABITAT

The Redford Rattan Cabinet
I love rattan. It’s strong and sturdy enough for use in furniture designs yet brings a natural and soft texture which, I think, creates a sense of calmness, and positivity in a room. We worked with one of Habitat’s artisanal Vietnamese suppliers on creating a versatile, small footprint cabinet. I can imagine this cabinet working really well as a drinks cabinet in a sitting room, or even a linen cabinet in a hallway.
The Wilder Rug & Cushion
Our Doodle clutch bag was the inspiration behind the sell-out cushion from our first collection and we have revisited the idea with some new characters from the Shrimps family that fans might recognise. I find the sage green a very calming, chic colour, creating a sense of elegance alongside a more playful illustrative quality.
The Marlon Rattan Armchair
I am in love with this armchair with its elegant combination of geometric printed fabric against the natural rattan texture. The bright yellow check really gives this chair personality and brings joy when you look and sit on it.
The Dustin Lamp
The hand painted check on the ceramic base has a craft like feel to it - I purposefully wanted the check to feel a little bit wonky. I love how each will be unique as they are painted by hand. The rattan shade is hand woven and creates beautiful shadows when lit.
