Who are you?

My name is Teri Muncey and I’m a small business owner and DIY and interiors blogger

What’s the day job?

I do a mixture of design, creative workshops and blogging as part of The Lovely Drawer

If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

I love living in London but after a recent trip, if I were to live anywhere else it would be Copenhagen. I loved the friendly, laid back vibe, the gorgeous aesthetic and delicious food. I just felt so at home. Having said that I’m not sure I could deal with weather worse than the UK and even less light hours in the Winter.

What’s the first thing you check out when visiting someone’s home for the first time?

I always find myself checking out people’s shelves. They give you little clues into the people that live there, whether it’s photos, art, plants, books or magazines.

What’s your interior addiction?

Probably plants and cute pots for them to live in. I’m obsessed even though I’m known for killing them! Aside from that I love chairs. I’ve actually been looking for a new set for my doing room.

What makes you really angry?

I get lane rage when I go swimming. When someone’s going way to slow for the lane and holding everyone up, it brings out the worst in me.

Pick a favourite film, book and song.

Wow that’s such a hard question! One of my favourite films is ‘Lars And The Real Girl’. I couldn’t possibly pick my favourite book and I’ll share my favourite song of the moment which is ‘Rising Water’ by James Vincent McMorrow

Best place you’ve ever been on holiday?

It has to be the Maldives. It’s just as beautiful as I imagined and the whole experience seemed like a dream.

What’s your favourite smell?

My favourite smell is either fresh laundry or Jo Malone’s Wood Sage & Sea Salt

What single thing would improve your life?

A better work / life balance. It’s always a hard thing to get right when you work from home and run things yourself .

What are you bad at that you wish you did well?

Driving. I can’t actually legally drive. I took six failed driving test attempts and gave up.

What would be your Death Row meal?

Another tough question. Perhaps a perfectly cooked T-bone steak with triple cooked chunky chips or  a baked rosemary and garlic camembert with chorizo, apple and parma ham wrapped asparagus for dipping.
