Habitat Design Reunion

If you love design and you love a free event, read on.

David Nicholls, Design Editor of the Telegraph magazine will host Habitat’s public Design Reunion panel discussion, as part of our Design Reunion’ exhibition for London Design Festival.

Past Habitat designers Tord Boontje, Claire Norcross, Sarah Campbell, Aaron Probyn and current Habitat Creative Director, Polly Dickens, will open the discussion with an exploration of the theme of ‘inspirations’ followed by a Q&A session for the audience to discuss all sorts of topics with the panel.

“This discussion allows us to explore how a fleeting thought can inspire and evolve into a physical design that we see in stores,” comments David Nicholls. “We will be looking at how differing, and surprising, these original ideas of inspiration can be for each designer – some discovering inspiration in nature, some in the fields of modern architecture, transport or theatre and how these inspirations are then translated through design and manufacturing processes into a finished product.

It will also give us an opportunity to hear from each designer about how they began in the design industry as well as their experiences of Habitat past and present.”

The event will take place on Friday 19th September from 3pm in Platform gallery, Habitat, 208 King’s Road, SW3 5XP.
