Kid’s furniture. Which category does yours fall into? A hand-me-down (too big, too small, or just covered in felt-tip pen and stickers?); something twee and saccharine sweet (because, y’know, you’ve had a kid and therefore a style lobotomy); or does it simply challenge the limitations of how many colours can be incorporated into one chest of drawers whilst being emblazoned with the latest cartoon character (ditto)?
Salvation comes in the form of our new kids furniture range which is making a much-requested return to Habitat. The Dot bedroom collection is bold, playful, and practical without sabotaging your style credentials. The range includes a single bed (with or without under-bed storage), bedside table, tall boy drawer unit, bookcase, wardrobe and trunk all in easy clean white lacquer with fun red and saffron detailing.
There’s no room that demands storage like a kid’s bedroom and our new collection of Pongo beds ticks that box with gusto. Each is designed to provide storage solutions (saving your tootsies from treading on that sonic blaster gun as you silently back out of a darkened room at 7pm). Added to this is the single trundle bed with pull-out guest bed underneath. The whole range is finished in a white lacquer with rounded edges.
Pongo kid’s mid-sleeper bed is raised slightly higher of the ground to provide an easy access storage space or play area. There’s a ladder for access.
Pongo kid’s storage bed has shelves galore. There’s no excuse for messy bedrooms.
Pongo kid’s bunk beds are perfect for siblings and sleep overs. They also detach into two single beds so are completely future-proofed.
Quirky and colourful, the Doug storage range includes fun statement pieces including parrot shelving and tree trunk bookshelves. The ‘house box’ is quite literally, a house of fun. Practically, it works as an open storage unit on castors, ideal for books, but turn it around and you find a blackboard ready for practicing their abc’s and the slanted roof makes a perfect desktop.
