Cool, Affordable Furniture And Accessories For Your Home

When you’ve just moved into your first home, or perhaps even your first room if you’re sharing a flat with mates, what do you need? Lots of different ideas for beautiful furniture and accessories on a budget. Correct?

Well, we have what you need. Cool, colourful and affordable furniture, in-store and online.

Look one: Subtle brights. (image above)

Our Momo sofa and armchair range has curves in all the right places. With its slim-line beech legs, retro shape and measuring in 142cm in length, it’s a perfect starting point when setting up a home, and one that will fit into most small sitting rooms or studio flats. We also have the armchair version too, in various colours. For a bit of a patterned twist, you could arrange your sofas around one of our rugs that are under £100.

Furthermore, for a large amount of storage in a small space, try our Loki shelving unit. With its oak uprights and lacquered shelves, it’s perfect for showing off your prized possessions and book collection.

Momo armchair £250 | Momo sofa £395 | Loki shelving unit £195.

Look two: Accent colours.

Orange and white dining chairs and lance table

For a clean, fresh palette, look no further than our Jerry chairs and Lance dining table. They are beautifully but simply designed and would fit well into a compact space.  The oak legs and built-in padded seat cushion of the Jerry chair makes the quality visible to the eye.

Jerry chairs £80 each | Lance dining table £150

Look three: Retro inspired.

Large cream sofa with a white coffee table and blue bookcase

Simple and timeless, the Sophie oak dining chair is a classic design with a curved backrest for extra comfort. This setting would work in both a traditional or contemporary space and looks particularly good in front of a coloured wall. Mustard yellow is a firm favourite with our in-house design team.

If you own your own home, then you can obviously do what you like, but for those renters out there, it might be worth contacting your landlord to ask if you can paint or decorate. Often, if you’re willing to rent for a longer period, they can be flexible and may be happy for you to paint the walls yourself. Our advice is that if you have to live in it- you should feel inspired in it!

Sophie chairs £75 each | Paint range available from Habitat and Homebase stores.

Look four: Contemporary white.

Habitat white AV Unit and leaning bookcase

Our Jessie ladder shelving is space-saving, visually appealing and inexpensive. It’s great for renters as it’s portable and easy to assemble and take with you if you move. It has a smooth, lacquered finish and perfect for showcasing all your great stuff. What more could you need from storage?
