Buying guide: Lights for dark nights

So the clocks went back a couple of weeks ago and the nights are well and truly drawing in (we’re still trying to get used to leaving the office in the dark). You might have noticed, once you make it home, that the little lamp in the corner isn’t giving you that cosy glow or that the overhead pendants (aka as ‘the big light’) are not the most flattering of options (I mean no-one wants to feel like they’re being  interrogated whilst watching Made in Chelsea Grand Designs). Either way, we thought it time to point you in the right direction of lighting to live by…whether you’re in front of the box, or snuggled in bed having an early night with a good book, we’ve got a light for every occasion.

Sitting on the sofa watching telly

The Euan overreach floor lamp would look great behind the sofa. We love the bright yellow/black colourway but it’s also available in a black/marble combo.

Floor Lamp

Working at a desk

Bobby in multi would brighten up any workload plus it provides great task lighting.

Desk Lamp

A romantic night in

The Bonsai garland gives a lovely soft ambience to any room.

Fairy Lights

A bedside light to read by

Rica is the perfect bedside light – it’s touch sensitive so can be dimmed or switched off without having to rummage behind the table for the switch!

Bedside Light

To light up a dark corner

You can’t beat the glow of  a softly lit lamp to bring some cosiness to a room. We love Margo for just that reason.

Over the dining table

Liv Triple Cluster makes a beautiful focal point over a dining table.
