We’ve just opened a new flagship store in Brighton, and who better to show us around our new neighbourhood than Brighton resident and all round creative, Alexis Foreman of fashion and lifestyle hub, Style Memos.
From the cutest boutique shops to the best places to stop for a well-deserved coffee, Alexis has you covered. Read on to discover her top places to visit in Brighton.
Tidy Street General Store
This shop is just a stone’s throw from my house and has a lovely curation of homeware and fashion. Great place to head if you’re looking for a gift but equally if you want to treat yourself!
Coffee@33
My favourite place to get coffee in Brighton and where I start most days. I love the owners Taras and Ami and I’ll always bump into someone I know in there. Plus the cakes are delicious…
Magazine Brighton
A great selection of publications run by Martin who is so lovely. A nice place to go and take a moment to just browse sometimes. And enjoy print instead of a screen for once!
La Choza
We go here far too much! It’s the most delicious Mexican street food and they do a great lime Margarita. And the churros are too tempting to resist.
Murmur
Founded by the chef who started 64 Degrees which is another of my favourite restaurants. Right on the seafront so a great place to eat during the summer.
The Pond (Baby Bao)
A cool pub in the North Laine where they do the most amazing Bao buns. My favourites are The Classic Pork Bao and the Special Fries.
Wolf & Gypsy Vintage
A fantastic curation of vintage and cool new brands. Also the selection of jewellery is fab.
Workshop Living
Beautiful minimal homeware that makes you wish your home looked like the interior of this shop! They also do some lovely fragrances by brands you may not have heard of.
Brass Monkey
Unusual ice cream flavours served up in a beautiful dark interior. Only open a few months and I’ve been too many times!
The Set Bar
Great cocktails in a lovely environment within The Artist Residence hotel. I like to head here for a pre-dinner cocktail or for drinks with girlfriends.
