The most vibrant of shades to bring the luminosity of Mediterranean seas into your home this season.
LEADER OF THE PACK
This whole story is truly a lesson in the organic way in which Habitat designs product. Originally a highlight colour within our SS17 colour palette, this lapis lazuli-esque shade became strong enough to lead the trend. On textiles, it packs a punch when contrasted against terracotta and smoky pink, as seen on the Zoe cushion; and gets the watercolour treatment on the woven Occhio cushion. Team this with our Washed bed linen to complete the look.
AN ARTIST’S PALETTE
Where it works most strikingly is on ceramics, the surface sheen enhancing its depth and intensity. If you want to see more of this amazing shade, look to the artist Yves Klein (who was one of the first to mix this particular hue and which became known as International Klein Blue or IKB), the works of Henri Matisse and Yves Saint Laurent’s Moroccan hideaway Jardin Majorelle in Marrakech.
