8 Ways To Prepare For Black Friday

Known as the biggest shopping day of the year, Black Friday is fast approaching so it’s time to limber up those shopping fingers and get set to bag some serious steals. Here’s our top tips to avoiding the chaos and beating the queues.

We get it, trying to find the best Christmas offers can be stressful. But don’t panic, simply follow our 8 tips to make sure you get the most out of this year’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals, because after all, it pays to be prepared…

1. Set yourself a budget

Avoid regrettable Black Friday buys this year by setting yourself a budget and sticking to it. It’s easy to get caught up in the excitement of it all, so decide what you’d like to buy days or even weeks before it starts to avoid any rash decisions.

2. Get your wish list ready

The best way to get organised this year is by creating a wish list on your phone or in a notepad and narrowing it down to the items you really want. If you’re planning to do your Christmas shopping early, make sure you note down who you’re buying for and how much you’d like to spend on them. Our top tip? Make sure you add all the items you like to your online wish list so you can fast-track to checkout with no distractions.

3. Make sure your laptop is fully charged

There’s nothing worse than waking up feeling organised and relaxed for Black Friday and then realising you forgot to charge your laptop the night before. Set yourself a reminder on your phone if needed and make sure you start your day with a fully charged laptop or iPad.

4. Set your alarm clock

The early birds always catch the best deals. Whilst most shops publish their Black Friday deals at midnight causing websites to crash, it’s best to wait and wake up early during quieter periods to catch the best deals.

5. Boil the kettle

There’s nothing better than sitting down with a freshly brewed cup of tea to get you in the mood for shopping. So get your favourite mug ready and a pack of biscuits (don’t worry we won’t tell).

6. Get comfy in your pjs

Comfort is key when it comes to nailing your Black Friday shopping, so make sure you’ve got your comfiest pyjamas on.

8. Prefer shopping in real life?

If you don’t fancy sitting behind a screen, why not pop to one of our flagships stores in London or Brighton, or head over to one of our minis in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide.
