What happens when you mix stacks of make-up, three gorgeous dressing tables, good food and lots of champagne? A fizzy evening at Habitat that went all kinds of girly, that’s what.
To celebrate the recent collaboration between beauty brand Birchbox and Habitat, a group of beauty and lifestyle bloggers gathered at the King’s Road store for a spot of dinner and chats from Birchbox’ editorial director, Jessica Diner, and Habitat’s design manager, Holly-Ann Rolfe.
It was lovely to see the Emil, Limbo and Fleur dressing tables laid out for their intended purpose, overflowing with potions and products from Birchbox’s partners including Benefit, Katherine Malandrino, Philip Kingsley and Lord & Berry.
But the evening’s piece-de-resistance was the new Maisie storage box, which has a sexy grey, gloss-lacquered exterior and punchy orange-red interior with removable divider tray. It’s a contemporary take on a traditional ladies’ jewellery box, but it’s perfectly at home with eyeliners, mascaras and lipsticks in it too.
It must be said, as the dinner wound down and the waiters brought out trays of coffee, the simple Habitat Nil tea cup caused quite a few gasps of appreciation; possibly the most coveted item of the evening, in fact.
