A highlight in any interiors fan’s diary, London Design Festival kicks off on Saturday 16th September. To celebrate, we’ll be unveiling 8 new designs and throwing one helluva launch party at our flagship Tottenham Court Road store on Wednesday 20th September from 6-9pm. Along with our new designs, you’ll be able to sip on cocktails while listening to banging tunes from our DJs, Patternity, so make sure to stop off on your London Design Festival trail.
New designs from the Habitat Design Studio exclusively for LDF17
Among the new pieces, Habitat will be introducing Mortimer, designed by Matthew Long, a 5 door oak sideboard and cabinet inspired by architectural shapes. The irregular, block shapes of the Mortimer extend out to reflect the idea of a city skyline. This strong architectural silhoutte is set on red metal legs for a flash of colour.
New dining table, Imelda, also designed by Matthew Long, is an elegant 8 seater with an oval walnut veneer table top balanced on a black, wide pedestal base. Its striking, unusual shape is an updated clean and modern design finished for a bold, statement effect.
Guests will also have the opportunity to see a new series of statement lighting with a minimalist structure on offer from designer Aaron Probyn. The Siya chandelier is a contemporary take on a classic chandelier with sparing and refined linear shapes while the Bayla lighting collection again visits architectural detailing as its inpiration with offset cubes again reflecting an urban skyline.
You’d be crazy to miss out!
