Award-winning Battersea-based café, Social Pantry, is popping up at Platform in November for a supper club and brunch celebrating their deliciously seasonal dishes. On Friday 4th November, they will be inviting guests to “Step into the Wilderness” for a relaxed, fun and magical evening of Autumnal feasting, followed by an equally delectable pop-up brunch the following day.
The dinner, composed of a 6-course menu, will focus on classic flavours from starters of sweet potato gnocchi, basil and sage pesto and dried Swiss chard crisp to mains including pan seared bream with tonnato, roasted tomatoes and gremolata, served alongside a sharing roasted pumpkin salad. Leave room for warm cinnamon doughnuts with toffee apple and ‘toast your own’ rosewater marshmallows giving a refined but witty nod to traditional Bonfire Night treats. Enjoy this in a beautifully decorated wonderland with drinks by Humble Grape and floristry by Worm London.
Brunch the following day will appeal to those waking from the previous night’s indulgences (Slow Roasted Pulled Pork & Brioche Slider with Fried Egg, anyone?) to those fuelling up for the weekend ahead (we’re gunning for almond pancakes with walnuts and toasted banana bread with espresso butter). Saturday morning beats will be provided by DJ Sophie Bond.
Started in 2011, Social Pantry has become London’s go-to caterer for stunning events served with style. Founder, Alex Head, is a regular superwoman, not only concocting mouth-watering dishes via the cafe and her accompanying catering company but doing so with a social conscience, through their menus, sourcing and affiliations with charitable organisations.
