The Great Interior Design Challenge

Like lots of design fans in the UK, we are glued to The Great Interior Design Challenge on BBC2. Who do you think is going to be crowned Britain’s best amateur interior designer? The Twitter chatter is proof there are a lot of strong opinions out there (are you following @BBC2?)!

It got us all talking about how we’d make big changes to a room, on a small budget. A new sofa and chairs were a popular choice, or a new lighting scheme.

The authors of The Great Interior Design Challenge book that accompanies the series must have agreed with us, because they’ve included two Habitat pieces – the Wilmot sofa and the Yves lamp – on the cover! Stay tuned for a competition to win your own copy…

Wilmot is a smart, compact sofa that can slot into lots of room schemes. Its neat shape is inspired by Scandinavian design, with a warm, playful look. Wilmot is upholstered in cotton/wool mix fabric and is available in armchair, two-seat and three-seat sizes.

Its flexibility and its quirky details – love that colourful buttoning! – made it an instant Team Habitat favourite.
