Clerkenwell Design Week hit London last week. Lasting only 3 days, it’s short and sweet, but it’s always a source of inspiration. Not only does it inspire but it also gives you the heads up on trends and there are heaps of talks (from developing open spaces to how to design a Design Museum) and events (bonsai workshops, latte art and chair yoga, anyone?) to attend. And, if experience has taught us anything, there’s usually a complimentary glass of something going in the evenings… Well, it’d be rude not to.
We spied a few things that caught our eye…
Fancy a piece of lighting that not only illuminates your world but are so striking they could almost be art?
Dining chair upholstery has become somewhat subdued; a feature was made of matching your fabric or leather to the natural colour or stain of the wood.
Caged shapes also featured across lighting and furniture, creating some really striking structures.
