Returns
Christmas Returns
Please note, items purchased from Friday 27th September 2024 to Wednesday 25th December 2024 can be returned right up to Friday 31st January 2025.
For stress-free returns, you have up to 30 days to return an item. If you've changed your mind about a purchase, you can take your Habitat purchase(s) to any Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket.
In line with our returns policy, your item(s) will need to be:
- Unused
- In its original packaging (with the tags)
- In a resaleable condition
- With its proof of purchase
Refunds will be processed by the original payment method. If you paid on card, it can take up to 7 days to appear back in your account, with PayPal refunds taking up to 30 days.
We're currently unable to accept returns of large, 2-person items in store, but you can arrange a collection via our customer services team for both small and large items delivered by home delivery.

That was a home delivery order
Small items can be returned to the following places:
- Argos stores
- Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket
You can also arrange a collection via our customer services team, for the return of small and large home delivered items.
Or, you can post it back
We accept returns of smaller items through the post. Check your returns paperwork with the address and instructions on what to do. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the item(s).
Exchanges
Our 30 day returns policy allows you to exchange most items. Pop along to any Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket with your proof of purchase. You can use the Argos store locator to find your nearest one.
Please note, items can't be returned to a Habitat store and exchanges are dependent on current stock levels. If we’re unable to offer an exchange, we can process a refund via the original payment method.
Faulty items and repairs
Faulty items
If your item is faulty, please start by checking our product support page to see if we can solve your issue. If you do need to return an item, you can take it to any Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury's supermarket.
We’re currently unable to accept larger 2-person items in-store. To arrange a collection for a larger item or an order delivered by home delivery, contact our customer services team.
Repairs
Sometimes you might just need a spare part or a quick fix. Contact our customer services team, where we can help you resolve the issue over the phone, send out an extra part or arrange to come to your home to repair the item.

Collection service
Save yourself a journey - we’ll pick it up
If your order was delivered to you by our home delivery service, then we can collect it for free too. Contact our customer services team and they’ll arrange a date and time to suit you.
We’re unable to accept large, 2-person items into our stores, so you will need to rearrange a collection if you wish to return any of these items.
Things to note
- If the item or packaging has been handled excessively, we reserve the right to reduce the amount we refund you.
- We might ask for the product serial number or similar, to check the item was supplied by us.
- Naturally, none of this affects your consumer rights.
Returns FAQs
What counts as proof of purchase?
You can use any of these:
- till receipt
- confirmation email
- e-receipt
- your order number.
If you can’t find one of the above, don’t worry. We should be able to sort everything out if you have:
- your card/bank statement
- the email address used to buy your item.
What's your refund policy?
If you've changed your mind and need to return an item, simply take it to any Argos store or Argos store within a Sainsbury’s supermarket within 30 days of your original purchase. You'll also need to ensure your item(s) is:
- Unused
- In its original packaging (with the tags)
- In a resaleable condition
- With its proof of purchase.

How long will my refund take?
If you return your item to store, we can process most refunds there and then. It may still take 5-7 days for your bank to process it into your account. If you paid by cash or gift card, you’ll be refunded in-store using the original payment method, whilst PayPal refunds can take up to 30 days.
If you return your item(s) via home collection, your refund will be processed within 14 days of receipt of the goods. It may take 5-7 days for your bank to process the money back to your account, but all refunds will be processed within 14 days.
All returned goods must be in line with our returns policy; these products will need to be unopened, unused and in their original packaging, with proof of purchase.
